Geometry, a language with no words

Geometry has helped humanity understand the world for thousands of years. Across cultures and throughout history, its patterns and principles have inspired mathematicians, philosophers, artists, and builders, revealing themselves in nature, science, and art alike.

More than a branch of mathematics, geometry is a way of observing and appreciating the underlying order that connects seemingly different things.

Cartesiana explores geometric form through techniques ranging from electroforming to casting — processes where electricity, heat, and chemistry shape metal into precise geometries. Closer to alchemy than assembly.

Drawing from classical geometry and natural form, I develop each piece with attention to proportion, symmetry, and construction. The process involves direct engagement with materials — preparing surfaces, working the metal, finishing by hand — where precision and experimentation meet.
